Before there was Wayne King, there was Boyonce Lols. A name chosen in haste to reflect his obsession with all things pop culture. Also, who wasn’t infatuated with that surprise album in early 2014?
Just like a Pokemon, the artist formerly known as Boyonce would later evolve into Wayne King.
With about 2 years under his belt now, he has been able to make a name for himself. In October of 2015, he was able to perform at The Stonewall Inn in New York City. As an avid homosexual, it was a great honor to perform at such a historic venue. In May 2016, he will be off to Denver to perform at FIERCE! International Queer Burlesque Festival and represent for the bigger boys of boylesque.
Wayne King envisions himself as the fan fiction writer who became bored with writing about his favorite subjects, and had to bring them to life in another format. Through burlesque he has been able to celebrate some of his favorite subjects such as the Gentlemen from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and is in the beginning stages to bring others to the fruition.
The tail end of 2015 saw him join the troupe Creme De Les Femmes. Currently, he is planning world domination while painting his nails like Nomi Malone.
